Breakthrough Skin Treatment Removes Wrinkles in a Flash!
Dr Ronald Moy Rejuvenates Aging Faces With New Fotofacialtm.
Just in time for summer, Los Angeles dermasurgeon Dr. Ronald Moy introduces the FotoFacialTM, a revolutionary skin treatment for improving brown spots, fine lines and wrinkles. This non-invasive treatment flashes an intense pulsed light onto the face, hands, arms and neck, to produce younger, healthier and smoother skin.
This non-laser rejuvenating treatment works where popular bleaching creams have failed, effectively treating rosacea, as well as chronic facial and neck redness, and minor broken capillaries, explains Dr. Moy. It's also great for improving Asian and darkly-pigmented skin, which have been more challenging to treat through other methods.
Patients experience minimal discomfort while the system flashes light on the skin for a period of 20 to 30 minutes. Most patients experience only mild redness afterwards with possible mild swelling, which can be camouflaged with makeup. Extremely tolerable, the treatment requires no anesthesia.
This FotoFacial™ can be more advantageous than a laser peel (laser resurfacing) for blotchiness because it's much less expensive, plus requires no recovery or down time, says Dr. Moy. With the FotoFacial™, you can also treat the entire face through a multiple flashes of light. The system emits a rectangular image large enough to cover the entire face with approximately 20 light flashes, while a laser emits a tiny, focused beam, covering only a limited section.
Dr. Moy recommends at least four to five FotoFacialTM treatments total to achieve optimal results. For treating deep facial lines, Dr. Moy advises patients to opt for laser resurfacing.
Dr. Moy is board Certified in Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, as well as author of three books on cosmetic surgery. What are Photo Rejuvenation Treatments? (back to top)
Photo Rejuvenation light treatments are a series of full-face exposures to an intense pulsed light system. The entire face is treated with repetitive flashes of light in about 20 minutes. This "non-laser" resurfacing and rejuvenation procedure improves rosacea, chronic facial and neck redness, brown spots, pigmentation, minor broken capillaries, and fine wrinkles. All patients observe smoother skin with a reduction in irregular pigmentation, fine wrinkles and pore reduction.
How many treatments will I need? (back to top)
Most patients require at least five treatments to reach their maximum improvement. Treatment sessions are spaced three to four weeks apart with each treatment lasting around 30 total minutes.
Is it painful? (back to top)
Anesthesia is not necessary and the procedure is quite tolerable. Patients experience minimal discomfort at most.
How long is the recovery period? (back to top)
There is little to no "downtime" with this procedure. Most patients experience only mild redness immediately after the treatment. Mild swelling can occur for about 24 hours after the procedure and mild scabbing can occur for 2-4 days. Any redness or scabbing can be covered with make-up.
