Why get the Blepharoplasty Treatment?
What is the Procedure?
What else can be treated with Blepharoplasty?
Is Blepharoplasty right for you?
What should I expect with treatment?

Rejuvenating your eyes... (back to top)
Your eyes are one of the first things that people notice about you, and are also one of the first to show signs of aging. Eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty) can reverse these effects of time. By removing excess skin fat and muscle, Dr. Moy can restore a more rested, youthful look to your eyes.

The procedure... (back to top)
First, you will be given a local anesthesia sedation to make you comfortable. Then the doctor makes small incisions along the upper natural creases and folds of your eyelids or inside the eyelid. Excess skin, fat and muscle are removed. The incisions are then closed with dissolving sutures and the area around your eyes is protected with ointment or bandages. After healing, any scarring is hidden in the natural folds of the eyelids or inside the eyelid.

Other treatments... (back to top)
Crow's feet, crinkley, sun damaged skin and other wrinkles around the eyes can also be removed. This is most often done with a laser. Drooping eyebrows can be raised, and furrows and frown lines can be smoothed out too. These treatments help create a younger look. Hollows under the eye can be corrected by moving fat or with filler injections.

Is eyelid surgery right for you? (back to top)
Eyelid surgery can enhance your looks at almost any age. However, it can't treat all eyelid problems. Dr. Moy will look at your eyes to be sure eyelid surgery is right for you. He will explain to you the most conservative and least expensive procedure possible. Tell Dr. Moy if you have eye problems, such as "dry eyes" or any other health problems.

Know what to expect... (back to top)
Your vision may be blurry right after treatment. You will also have some bruising and swelling as you heal. This can last for a few days to weeks. However, any bruising can be covered up with makeup in about a week. You can return to work as soon as you choose.
